Sundae Success

Whitney Clum

One of many Welcome Week events, Sundaes on Sunday was a syrupy sweet success, drawing in students of all age brackets with the promise of an ice cream sundae. One of the last kick-off events before classes formally began, the Residential Living-sponsored occasion was a busy affair. Most of the tables in the Union Commons were filled with students enjoying their sticky treats throughout the entire event. Pop music blared through speakers as students filed through the buffet-style set up, choosing between vanilla or chocolate ice cream. Secondary tables were set up, laden with toppings such as maraschino cherries, chocolate syrup, caramel, pineapple, the all-important sprinkles and gummy bears. The event lasted an hour, wrapping up just in time for students to depart to see Illusionist Wayne Hoffman.
