Eliminating racism, empowering women: The YWCA is committed to racial justice and advocacy.

To stop the perpetuation of racism and promote racial equity, YWCA Northeast Kansas is hosting a community book club called the Racial Justice Book Club.
The Racial Justice Book Club has two sessions to discuss the chosen books each month, on the second and fourth Tuesdays of every month, and choose one book per month, with audiobooks or eBooks also being options.
Anyone interested can sign-up for the Racial Justice Book Club on the club’s website, and the meetings will take place online through Zoom.
A couple of the book discussions will take place on Oct. 12 and Oct. 26 at the Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library starting at 7 p.m.
