A night of music: For nine nights in the summer, come to White Concert Hall to enjoy a variety of music styles. This year’s theme is honoring female composers.

The Sunflower Music Festival will be taking place from June 18-26 at 7:30 p.m. at White Concert Hall on Washburn University’s campus.

The festival is nine nights of chamber ensembles, orchestra performances and jazz. It will be streamed online with limited capacity for those who want to attend in person.

This year, the festival is honoring women in music. It pays homage to females in music and the arts through showcasing both past and contemporary female composers, current female performers and soloists, important female figures in music and women’s rights and art of the Suffrage Movement.

The music festival is free for all to attend.
