An Ohio University organization, STARS (students teaching against racism) is raising awareness for racial slurs in Halloween costumes. Their slogan “We’re a culture, not a costume.” is trying to convince students to avoid costumes that could be misconstrued as a stereotype, and instead make their own humorous costumes.
