Topeka’s newest dream spot for coffee lovers
Can you believe that the semester has started? For those of you looking for a place to breathe, it has been brought to my attention that a potential new relaxation and hangout spot has opened in Topeka. It’s a place where you can indulge in your ever-growing caffeine addiction as well as those who prefer the taste without the energy boost. There is some talk around campus about the new coffee spot in town: Circle Coffee. For those who have been raving about the coffee business and those who haven’t had the time, this review is just for you.
Circle Coffee is located right by the Mulvane Art Museum at 1710 SW Medford Ave. It is one minute away from campus, so it’s the perfect place to grab a quick drink while you are running late to class.
“Walking into Circle Coffee gives me a sense of peace,” said Jenna Newman, a freshman majoring in elementary education who supports her caffeine habit daily. When you walk into Circle Coffee you can expect a comfortable and clean environment with the fresh, thick smell of coffee grounds saturating the air. Circle Coffee isn’t the typical coffee shop because they do not have a drive-thru, which some would argue gives a more personal experience. You can expect to be greeted with a hearty “Welcome to Circle Coffee!” and a heartfelt smile while the employee waits eagerly to take your order. I had to try the caramel Americano. The only exception is I wanted mine sweet, and they gave me what I wanted with no questions asked. After giving me my order, they wished me a sincere goodbye. I felt proud about spending $5 on a large coffee, which is a reasonable price for a substantial cup.
Circle Coffee not only offers coffee it also serves delicious breakfast snacks which are a must-try. Circle Coffee was an experience that I haven’t had in a while. The feeling of being appreciated for purchasing a cup of coffee combined with the taste of the caramel Americano containing extra whip cream made the desire for another cup unbearable. The lobby has seating for those who want to enjoy their coffee while studying for an exam. Don’t just take my word for it; visit and see for yourself. Circle Coffee is a definite must-try and a safe place to relax while enjoying your not-so-guilty pleasure.
