Women’s Cross Country stumbles at Missouri Southern Stampede

The Washburn Ichabods women’s cross country team placed 14th out of 26 teams at the MSSU Stampede on Sept. 18. The team finished with a total of 352 points.

Senior Sierra Mortensen finished in 23rd place ending with a time of 17:53.1 as she led the way. Junior Lily Johnson followed closely behind, finishing 25th with a time of 17.56.6.

Sophomore Patricia Koma finished in 83rd with a time of 19:00.1, while junior Luz Lopez-Gonzalez and freshman Eve Weber finished with respective times of 19:32.1 and 19:40.9 to conclude the scoring for the Ichabods.

The Ichabods will be back on the course in Emporia on Friday, Sept. 24, for the ESU Invitational.
