Washburn Indoor Track and Field will have to wait before getting a chance to compete in the new Indoor Arena, Washburn Athletics announced Monday Nov. 23 the cancelation of the Alumni Invitational because the building not being complete, both the men’s and women’s teams will have to wait till January 16, 2021 before they can dust off their running shoes when the Ichabods will host MIAA Rust Buster which will consist of only teams in the conference.

In a statement released by the Washburn Athletic Department Track and Field Head Coach Cameron Babb had this to say “While we are disappointed we will not be able to compete the first weekend as we had planned, we will now use the time to train in the facility over the break and be ready to host our meet on Jan. 16,” Babb said.
