“Not Without My Daughter” is an emotional and powerful movie about a mother’s love and strength. The story starts with Betty, an American woman who travels to Iran with her husband and young daughter thinking it’s a short couple of weeks of family visit. Soon she realizes that her husband does not plan to return to the United States and she is not allowed to leave with her daughter.

The movie shows how Betty feels trapped and afraid in a place where she has very little freedom. She struggles to understand the rules and culture around her. She also has a tough time figuring out language and signs on the road. Her everyday life becomes very difficult. Despite the loneliness and helplessness, she stays strong because her daughter depends on her and she can’t leave her behind. 

One of the strongest parts shown in the movie is the mother’s determination. Betty faces many risks but she never gives up hope. Her love for her daughter gives her courage to keep going, even in dangerous situations.

Overall, “Not Without My Daughter” is a touching movie about love, courage and survival. It shows how powerful a mother’s bond with her child can be and leaves a strong emotional impact on the viewer.
