Benjamin Goossen, historian at Harvard University, will give a talk on his book, “Chosen Nation: Mennonites and Germany in a Global Era,” Aug. 30 at Washburn University.

 The book explores topics such as Mennonites’ relationship with German nationalism, discrimination against Mennonites in North America during the World Wars and the state of the Mennonite church in  the modern era.
