They have the option to buy the canvas for $5 or write an uplifting note to support cancer patients. The canvas was planned to be donated to a local breast cancer patient.
-
Ellie DuLaney, freshman forensics investigation major, plays the dart throw with audiences. DuLaney joined the ZTA sorority this semester and was just recently initiated into the sorority activities.
-
The balloons are filled with paint using a funnel provided as the target for the audience to throw the dart. DuLaney was helping her ZTA friends fill in the balloons in the front yard of the ZTA house.
-
Another activity of ZTA’s philanthropy week is Come Pie a Zeta. The event was celebrated April 19, at East Lawn Memorial Union.
-
The audience had an enjoyable time with their friends when they could put the pie in people’s faces. They were $3 for two plates that people could buy to join the activities and support ZTA in their philanthropy week.
-
Fraternities and sororities support philanthropic organizations by donating money or volunteering. The money was planned to be donated to two organizations, including the American Cancer Society and Bright Pink.
-
ZTA members also helped the audience clean up their faces after getting pie’d. The first day of ZTA philanthropy week was April 15, to spread awareness and education about breast cancer.
