Hogle throws the ball into her teammate after fielding a ground ball. Pittsburg State University’s hit allowed them to score the first run of the game, which gave them a 1-0 lead in the top of the fourth.

Madi Moore, freshman catcher, calls a timeout to talk with Sadie Walker, sophomore pitcher, at the mound. Walker allowed five hits and walked one batter in the first game of the series.

Autymn Schreiner, senior infielder, stands in the on-deck circle to time the Pittsburg pitcher. Schreiner’s at-bat resulted in a single to right-center and gave Washburn its first base runner in the bottom of the fifth inning.
