Washburn students give Kappa Sigma a new makeover

  • Luiz Alcantara, junior psychology major, gets his makeup done by Elyse Hubbard, freshman forensic investigation major. Kappa Sigma held a fundraiser March 3 where people could pay money to put makeup on its members.

  • Makeup lines the Kappa Sigma table. There were plenty of makeup choices for donors to choose from.

  • Colton Cattoor, freshman biology major gets his nails painted by Valeria Ortega-Borunda, freshman medical laboratory science major. Besides makeup, there were also choices of nail polish for donors to pick from.

  • McKayla Galliart, junior forensic investigation major, and Genevieve Michaelis, junior communications major, paint the nails of Domonic Neal, freshman criminal justice major. Many members of Kappa Sigma got their nails painted along with their makeup being done for an extra fee.

  • Miqueas Mazo, freshman history major, Hannah Reynolds, sophomore social work major, and Maddie Rice, sophomore criminal justice major, pose for a photo. Plenty of photos were taken after each makeover was done.

  • Jairen Hudley, freshman respiratory therapy major, gets his makeup done by Jaelen Matthews, junior forensic biology major. Donors could pay $2 for one makeup item, $5 for three, or $10 for a full face look.

  • Daniel Lopez, senior health administration major, gets his eyeshadow done by Megan Dorantes, senior public administration major. Friends of Kappa Sigma members attended to support the organization by donating money to makeover their friends.

  • Zachary Yelland, senior entrepreneurship and marketing major, poses for a photo. The Kappa Sigma makeover event was a big success with a large turnout and some students even brought their own makeup for the event.
