Washburn University’s Leadership Institute gathered for a tailgate to celebrate Washburn’s 2022 Homecoming. The tailgate was held Oct. 22, 2022, on the east Union lawn. The tailgate started at 11:30 a.m. and lasted until 12:30 p.m., preceding Washburn’s 2022 Homecoming game at 1 p.m.
Attendees include new members, senior members, and non-members of the Institute checking out the program. There was plenty of food for everyone present, catered by the local Topeka Chick-fil-A.
The tailgate was a great opportunity for members to catch up or get to know new friends. The event was full of conversation and lasted an hour. Beyond conversation, attendees also enjoyed the presence of a dog named Kyden, who was brought by one member.
