The giving tree is coming to town
The Giving Tree is coming to town. From Nov. 5 to Dec. 3, the Washburn Catholic Campus Center will be hosting their annual Giving Tree Project yet again. At specific locations around campus, giving trees will display tags that will have written gift requests from children in the community. Anyone and everyone is invited to participate in the project. The individual who picks a tag must purchase the gift that is on tag and return the gift unwrapped. The gifts will then be donated to Let’s Help, Doorstep Inc. and Topeka Rescue Mission.

About the Contributors
Gabi Rodriguez, Reporter
Hi, my name is Gabi Rodriguez! I am a content creator for Washburn’s Student Media. I am currently a senior majoring in mass media with an emphasis in film and video and a minor in criminal justice. A few of my many hobbies include, drawing and painting, cooking and photography and videography. Until recent years, I was a student athlete who played soccer year-around. Fun fact: I played for Washburn’s women soccer team for a couple of years. Making the difficult decision to put an end to my athletic career, I can now give my full attention to my studies, as well as creating content for Washburn’s Student Media.
