Brief: Washburn provides Suicide Prevention Training & Resources
For Washburn faculty and staff members, there is a chance on Friday, Sept. 24 2021 to gain experiential training to effectively care for someone who might be suicidal.
This workshop, which is from Campus Connect, is called Suicide Prevention for Gatekeepers. A “gatekeeper” is any faculty or staff member who has contact with students and may have access to information on students’ overall well-being and mental health through their interactions.
This training will be from 2-5 p.m. in the Lincoln Room at Memorial Union.
