New Mexico Mustang goaltender Marco Weiser decided to redeem himself Friday night against the Topeka RoadRunners.

Weiser, who gave up five goals on 26 shots on Thursday night in a 6-3 loss, stopped all 33 shots he faced Friday and handed the RoadRunners a 1-0 loss.

Topeka (32-9-3) outshot the Mustangs 8-7 during the first period, but it was Brad Wilhelm who would slip the puck past Rasmus Tirronen at 8:53 for the lone goal of the contest.

The RoadRunners then outshot New Mexico (13-29-3) 25-12 over the last two periods, but Weiser kept the puck out of the net, as the Mustangs held on for the victory.

Jake Lynes, in his second game for Topeka, had five shots on goal. Rasmus Tirronen drops to 19-7-3 on the season. Topeka battles New Mexico again Saturday.
