Hello, I’m Maggie Cabrera! I am a sophomore majoring in mass media with a concentration in journalism and I am minoring in leadership with an emphasis in business, communications, and the media. Currently, I am the Co-Editor-in-Chief for the Kaw Yearbook, but I do many other tasks for student media like writing stories, photography, and a little bit of design. I do a lot of work, so I am a very tired person. Napping is honestly one of my favorite hobbies. I am from a small town outside of Dodge City called Hugoton, about six hours away from Topeka. I am very involved at Washburn, from being in the leadership institute and being on their student leadership council to working for OSID, you can catch me on campus basically every day! I like to think of myself as a mediator because I love listening and hearing other people’s opinions, which makes me hope that one day I will be great as a journalist.
