Humane Society to hold annual Paws in the Park

Helping Hands Humane Society (HHHS) will be throwing its annual “Paws in the Park” event from 9a.m. – 12p.m. on Sept. 19.

This is their largest annual event of the year. It is pet friendly, with dogs welcome at the park. The proceeds will go towards HHHS in order to help the animals they shelter.

A general admission pass can be purchased for five dollars. This pass does not include the cost of bringing a dog to the park. In order to bring a dog to the park, attendees must pay an additional ten dollars. A VIP pass includes admission, one dog entry, a t-shirt, a goodie bag, and a dog bandana for $25.

Various vendors will also attend this event in order to sell their products. There will be over 50 vendors this year, not all of which will be animal related.

Justin Brokar, a member of the HHHS, said, “There’s a lot of people that do not know it is just for people with pets…there is a lot of family friendly stuff…there is a little bit of something for everyone.”

While people can only bring their dogs (no cats), there will be a ton of pet friendly and family friendly events. Old or young, pet owner or just a member in the community, the Paws in the Park event will have something for everyone to enjoy.
