Political science students create Iowa Caucus book

Student’s enrolled in professor Bob Beatty’s political science Iowa Caucus class were able to broaden their knowledge on politics and campaigning by attending the 2016 Iowa Caucus. Supported by Washburn’s Transformational Experience program, Beatty’s political science students joined together to create an entire book on the candidates and their personal experiences during this year’s Iowa Caucus. The book, titled “See How They Run: The 2016,” features 24 pages of facts, photos, and results from the candidates involved in the Iowa Caucus.

All photos featured in this book were taken by Bob Beatty and his students, who recently traveled to the Iowa Caucus. Beatty said the book is an important part of history and believes it might be the first book published on the 2016 elections. “I think it’s awesome, but I haven’t seen the book in print yet so I’m crossing my fingers,” said Beatty. A viewing party for the “Run” book will be held in Henderson 207 on March 11 at 3 p.m. Students involved in the production of the book will be able to see their finished work for the first time at the viewing party.
