Cruz aiming to win big in Indiana primaries

Republican candidate Ted Cruz hopes to win big in Indiana after he announcing last week that he has chosen Carly Fiorina as his running mate for vice president. Cruz hopes to provide a contested convention, but cannot do so without winning a major amount of delegates in the coming primaries.

If Trump were to win big in Indiana, it could spark the almost certain end to Cruz’ campaign. Cruz seems to be doing everything he can to stop Trump, but the question that still remains is, will the final push for Cruz work in his favor? Some believe that only time will answer that question for Cruz.

“I think Cruz is going to lose to Trump because Cruz has picked a running mate who has never held public office and that will not sit well with voters,” said Mikey Mullen, a law major.

However, if Trump does get the number of delegates he needs to win the nomination outright, the Republican party may attempt to block him from the nomination altogether, which is something America hasn’t ever seen before.
