On Oct. 1, Washburn students were able to enjoy the Fall Festival near Memorial Union.
This was the third time that the festival was organized. Students were walking around in the fall fairytale that was created. Students could have gotten vouchers and get free food and the activities there.

“This is our third year in a row doing this festival, and we have different activities. We brought in some external artists like airbrush tattoos, henna artists, and food trucks. We also made a little pumpkin patch, and people can paint pumpkins,” said Christina Bailey, one of the organizers.
Bailey loved the activities but she shared that henna was her favorite.
“I wish that the festival was advertised more, because I feel like I did not know about it,” said Grace Garcia, junior nursing major. “I think that the concept of this is really cool, but feel that not so many people know about it”
The festival should be more advertised, shares Garcia, because it is great for every student to be out and enjoy the beautiful fall.
“I think the festival is pretty cool. I love the food trucks. I was also here last year,” said Bulat Ochirov, senior art major. “I would add some more activities, because it looks kind of empty.”
Fall Festival is a great way to welcome fall. With all the pumpkins, activities and free food around students can make friends and feel the coziness that the organizers created.
