Students and faculty crowd around a table to learn more about the health benefits offered in tea. This event was hosted by Washburn’s Multicultural Intersectional Learning Space. They invited Kansas Notions to campus for a demonstration.

Reidy makes a personalized tea bag for a student. Some of the teas offered helped boost focus and concentration and others helped reduce stress and anxiety.

Students and faculty choose from a wide variety of teas and extra flavorings. Some of the teas offered included: ginseng, hyssop, ginkgo, bilbo, ashwagandha, chamomile and lavender.

Isaiah Bryant-Collier, director of Student Involvement and Development, enjoys a personalized cup of tea. Attendees were able to either bring their tea bags home or they could make a fresh cup on-site.

For those who didn’t drink tea, Kansas Notions offered capsules filled with tea ingredients that offer the same holistic benefits.
