GALLERY: Students look to the future at career fair

  • Kelli Kychik, a freshman in marketing and Cade Boswell, a freshman in finance, receive information on Washburn’s Master’s of Business Administration program. Danny Funk, the program director, was in attendance to provide students with information about what their program offers.

  • Lieutenant Cory Beard, lead agency recruiter of the Kansas Highway Patrol, chats with Tessa Ediger, freshman in criminal justice, about potential job positions. The Career Fair had plenty of representation from local law enforcement agencies.

  • Lauren Martin, a freshman in correction and psychology, collects information from Jeff Hemme and Mitch Bennett, deputy directors of the Missouri Department of Social Services. There was a wide variety of employers at the Career Fair for students of all interests.

  • Ronda Monhollon, financial coach for Primerica, shows Alexa Martinez-Hernandez, a freshman in finance, an informational video about their company. Every company in attendance had lots of information and materials for students.

  • Corinna McMullen, a freshman in elementary education, visits with Gabrielle Darrow, human resources director, and Ashley Black, talent acquisition recruiter, both with KVHealth. Employers had lots of free “goodies” for interested students.
