Fall activities in Topeka
During the month of October, the Topeka Zoo offers activities for students and families to attend. One event is the Fright Fest at 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13.
Z’mariah Lee, freshman liberal arts major, enjoys visiting the Topeka Zoo.
“The Topeka Zoo is a great place to go in Topeka, especially during the fall. It is really amazing and I always love watching the kids get their fill of scares,” Lynn said. “I like to look at animals and I do makeup, so I love doing a face-painting activity for the kids to go with their costumes.”
Another event that students can join is Boo at the Zoo, which starts at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27. Children can dress up as anything they want and trick-or-treat around the zoo. They can also learn about the animals.
“I really love the fall and I love seeing kids learn new things, as well as animals,” Faydra Knox, freshman human services major, said.
