Ichabod golf swings to success at Watkins Invitational
After finishing day one in second place, Washburn golf fell on day two of the Watkins Invitational, but still finished in third place out of 13 teams competing. The Ichabods finished with a total score of 589 as a team over the two rounds.
Once again leading the way was junior Dawson Wills, who won the entire tournament with a score of 139. The win was his second tournament victory in the three that Washburn has participated in this year. Also recording a top ten finish was sophomore Cade Uhlenhake who finished tied for ninth place.
Rounding out the team scoring were sophomores Hayden Beck, Daniel Duffin and Caden Vanlandingham who finished with scores of 153, 156, and 159 respectively. On the individual side junior Chase Dillon finished tied for 25th place with a score of 152 and junior Jackson Wexler scored 157.
Next up for the Ichabods is a trip to St. Joseph, MO to play in the Missouri Western Invitational on Oct. 11 and 12.
