Photo Gallery: HALO celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month

  • Together again: Celebrating Hispanic Heritage month helped all the members of HALO get together. This event had a lot of help from the students whether it be decorating or planning, each did a great job.

  • Good times: The Union Underground was packed with familiar faces. The decorations and energy within the space were all vibrant.

  • Heartfelt: Analisa Chavez-Muñoz, the president of HALO, welcomed all the members at the beginning of the event. Her speech made members grateful for all her hard work the past few years.

  • Smiles all around: Freshmans Paulina Marcial-Chavez and Brenda Sanchez-Vela enjoy their time at the Hispanic Heritage Month event. They enjoyed the photo opportunities along with the decorations.

  • Chatting: Before the organization started its event, members were seen talking away. Their conversations were filled with happiness to be back in person.

  • Glad to be back: The MILS office is where HALO members often work or just hang out. It was only fair that the office was decorated just like the Union Underground.

  • Giveaway: HALO set out various prizes to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. This raffle caught the attention of members with a ticket price of 25 cents for one ticket and five ticks for $1.

  • Representing: Hispanic American Leadership Organization (HALO) showed off their display of awards and photos. This table showed the dedication that each member has to the organization.

  • Empty boxes, not empty stomachs: HALO provided dinner for their members in order to celebrate. With full stomachs, members were encouraged to have fun and enjoy the gathering.

  • It’s the little things: HALO went all out when decorating. The Union Underground was filled with flags that represented all Hispanic cultures.
