Take a look: “Eyes” is an art installation by Shelley Bearman and features portraits and real stories of sexual assault survivors. Bearman hopes to bring awareness of sexual assault and encourage survivors to ask for help.

Trust: “Believe” is a canvas painting that honors sexual assault survivors. It features words and phrases survivors wish they had heard from others.

Listen with the heart: John’s story is about his dad not believing his experience with sexual assault. He felt rage for a long time.

Semicolon: Deja’s story is about her trauma from sexual assault. She went to therapy to cope.

Unlocked: Aniyah’s story is about her experience with a sexual assault that occurred at a friend’s house. Moving on has been very difficult for her.
