Two Ponders Revisited

  • Take a moment: “Two Ponders Revisited” is a collaborative gallery created by Barbara Waterman-Peters and Dennis Etzel Jr. that includes landscape art that represents the past, present and future. Waterman-Peters created the artwork, while Etzel wrote the poetry.

  • Rippling Water: Etzel wrote a poem about Waterman-Peters painting of a green pond. The pond is described as a “field” and the ripples of the water as “admirable.”

  • A piece of Nature: The Mulvane Art Museum provides a tree and a place to sit in the gallery. It gives viewers a sense of nature and relaxation.

  • White and Grey: Waterman-Peters created a sketch of a pond with a reflection of a park landscape. Etzel emphasizes how rain will cause the image of the point to disappear in the poem.

  • Step into a Painting: Waterman-Peters created a painting of a tree near a bridge and a pond. Etzel writes about the depth and space in his poem.
