The Lady Blues soccer team took home their first MIAA trophy Sunday afternoon after a 2-1 win over Missouri Southern. Truman State University has won the championship for the past seven years.

Seniors Jenna Lawless and Jessica Mainz scored the two winning goals for the team.

UPDATE: The Lady Blues will play at 11:30 Friday in Omaha, Neb. against the No. 3 seed Missouri Southern in the NCAA Regional Tournament. If they win, they will play at noon on Sunday in Omaha.
