Campus Announcement

Comedian Bernie McGrenahan will perform “Happy Hour Comedy – Comedy with a Twist” 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14, in Washburn Room A of the Memorial Union. The event is free and open to the public.

Hailed by Los Angeles Daily News as “the most important comedian in the country today,” McGrenahan’s “Happy Hour” tour is impacting high school and college students across America. After opening “Happy Hour” with comedy for which he is popular, McGrenahan addresses the risks currently confronting students who party too much. He will reveal how social drinking escalated to high-risk drinking in his own life and the consequences that followed.

He encourages students to avoid excessive consumption. McGrenahan addresses the social norm of how much alcohol students drink, acknowledging that most students of legal drinking age do consume alcohol moderately and responsibly. McGrenahan delivers a strong message while inspiring students to achieve their dreams by dealing with life’s obstacles in a positive way.
