The next session of “Conversations: Connecting Art to Our Lives” will take place 5 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, at the Washburn University Mulvane Art Museum. The discussion will focus on an exhibit titled “The Humanity of Christ in the Works of Georges Rouault.”

Mulvane interim director Reinhild Janzen, facilitator of the event, says the exhibit includes prints by well-known French expressionist Georges Rouault.

“He deals with issues of war, and Christ,” said Janzen.

Special guests will be Michael Almond, printmaker and a professor in the Washburn art department, and professor emeritus Edward Navone, who Janzen said is very knowledgeable on the topic.

Janzen encourages anybody with an interest in art to attend.

“We love to see students there,” said Janzen.

“Conversations: Connecting Art to Our Lives” is free of charge and open to the public.
