The Lady Blues will play one day earlier than expected.

Washburn’s game with Newman University, originally scheduled for Monday, has been moved up to 7 p.m. on Sunday night in Wichita.

The Blues went 1-1 last weekend, losing 2-0 to Colorado School of Mines in their first game before picking up their first win against Colorado State-Pueblo.

Ashley Taylor, Leah Talley, Brandy Hirsch and Keeley Lambeth all scored goals in the 4-1 victory, and are looking to continue their dominance on the field.

After the Lady Blues’ matchup with the Jets, Washburn has five days off before traveling to Warrensburg, Mo., to begin MIAA conference play against the University of Central Missouri. The Jennies started the season 0-2 and will face West Texas A&M on Friday, Texas A&M-Commerce on Sunday and MIAA-rival Missouri Southern on Sept. 10 before their matchup with Washburn.
