Cyclists ride against hate

The student organization Cyclists at Washburn is hosting its first event, The Westboro Ride Against Hate. Students have been organizing this event to unite students who are passionate in their stance against hate, specifically the Westboro Baptist Church.

Participants should meet at Washburn’s bell tower at 7p.m. on Friday, October 25. The organization encourages those participating to “bling-out” the bikes used in this event with as many lights as possible. They will be selling glowsticks to use as decoration, 3 for $1. Other than that, participation is free and open to all skill levels of riding.

The ride will take place from the bell tower through the Westboro district, passing the Equality House, and ending at Pizza Pub.
