The course was approved last week at the general faculty meeting and will  be part of the Kansas Studies curricula.

Geography Professor Tom Schmiedeler, who is also the director of the Center for Kansas Studies, describes it as the “ultimate multi-disciplinary course” as it will be taught by 11 Washburn faculty members from at least eight disciplines.

It is scheduled for Tuesday evenings, 5:30 – 8 p.m. and has been approved for general education. Students can now enroll in the course.

The catalog description: A multidisciplinary course taught by faculty members of the Center for Kansas Studies that stresses the interrelationships among all aspects of Kansas including anthropology, archaeology, ethnicity, fine arts, geography, geology, history, literature, politics and religion.
