Hit-and-run suspect apprehended

A suspect involved in a hit-and-run May 7 on the Washburn campus was apprehended Tuesday, May 12.
On May 7, four parked vehicles were hit by a white car in Parking Lot 5 (east of the Student Wellness and Recreation Center.)
The driver of the white car fled the scene and did not report the incident.
On Tuesday, an individual matching the suspect in surveillance footage was interviewed by a Washburn Police officer. The individual admitted to being the suspect and will be facing multiple traffic-related charges, according to a news release from Capt. Chris Enos.
