Audience members head inside White Concert Hall to attend the Topeka Festival Singers. Around 500 audience members were present.

Grace Morrison, president of the board of directors of Topeka Festival Singers, welcomes all the attendees of the event. Morrison said the entire season was made possible through the generous support of the season sponsor, Midwest Health and its senior living facilities, and expressed deep gratitude for their contribution.

Robert Pherigo, collaborative pianist, has been an active member of the Kansas City area music scene for the last 30 years. Pherigo has composed works for groups including the newEar Contemporary Chamber Ensemble, Kansas City Chorale, Lyric Arts Trio, Lawrence Children’s Choir and several high school choirs.

Jason Finson, guest musician, performs on bass guitar. The event started at 7 p.m. in White Concert Hall.

Brett Robinson, artistic director and conductor of the event, introduces the program to the audience. This is the 41st season of Topeka Festival singers.

Robinson has been with Topeka Festival Singers since 2022. Robinson is the executive director of the Friends of Chamber Music in Kansas City and was previously the executive director for the Topeka Symphony Orchestra.

Hannah Kirby, soloist, performs “In this heart” arranged by Matt and Adam Podd. Altogether 13 pieces were performed in this event.
