Dummermuth: I was not chief of finance

Jimmy Dummermuth

Many of my fellow students have come to me and asked about my credentials as stated in the Feb. 13 edition of the Washburn Review. In the article “Let the Games Begin,” it was incorrectly quoted that I was the “chief of finance of the Washburn Finance Society.” To my knowledge, this position does not exist with the Washburn Finance Society. The actual title for this position is Chief Financial Officer and it is currently held by another individual.

To learn more information about this position and organization, please visit www.washburnfinancesociety.com. For clarification, I did hold the position of Chief Marketing Officer of the Washburn Finance Society under President Evan Mulch while I was a sophomore. I was highly involved with the Washburn Finance Society at that time and continue to appreciate the contributions of this fine organization.

I would also like to add that I have been a classroom volunteer with the Junior Achievement program, a current member of the School of Business Dean’s Advisory Board and am currently a big brother with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Topeka.

I hope that this clarifies some of the questions you may have and please come talk to me if there is anything else that I can do for you.
