Scouts Attend Washburn
February 10, 2015
On Saturday February 7, 2015 scouts from several area councils attended Washburn University’s merit badge college. Mike Boscom, who’s run the activities of the merit badge college for six years, stated that it raises awareness of the college and of Boy scouts to the question of how the merit badge colleges benefits both parties. At the event participants were able to work on merit badges such as Journalism Weather, Energy, Dog Care, Art, and Aviation. All money from entrance fees went toward food and the scout office and held no profit for the university.
