The Fine Arts Center at Washburn University of Topeka has been selected as a model for the architectural exhibit at the 1970 International College and University Conference Exposition in Atlantic City, New Jersey, on March 16-17-18.

The building was completed a d occupied in October 1968. Van Doren- Hazard-Stallings-Shnacke were the architects and the general contractor was Bowers Construction Company, both of Topeka.

The exhibit will feature showings of new junior colleges, college and university buildings throughout the nation.

The Washburn building was a new concept in design, featuring a 1200 seat concert hall, a 400 seat thrust-stage theater, rehearsal halls and a wide variety of office and classroom spaces.
