Bod Brief: International presentation to inform about India’s past and present

The International House will host the India: Past and Present presentation April 20 at noon. The presentation will be given by Dr. Azyz Sharyf, electric art and graphics professor, and will highlight the history of India, present-day India and impact India has on the U.S.
“India has a very strong past,” said Sharfy. “It has contributed a lot in math, science and to spirituality.”
The presentation will also highlight the trip to India Sharfy and 18 students took during the 2015-2016 winter break. The faculty-led trip focused on the country’s architecture, art, culture and the diversity of people in India. In addition, information about the 2017-2018 winter break India Experience trip will also be included in the presentation.
“There are 22 languages in India,” said Sharfy. “The country of India is about multiplicity and diversity.
The India: Past and Present presentation is free and open to the public.
