Hank, a septapus voiced by Ed O’Neill, was a character that was originally going to be in “Finding Nemo,” but Pixar was unable to convincingly animate an octopus. Hank makes an appearance in “Finding Dory,” his legs and his ability to change color to match his background demanded the animation team create new computer programs to make Hank behave like a real creature. The introduction of the character took two years to animate.
