Washburn’s Men’s basketball received multiple nominations in the initial voting process for the National Association of Basketball Coaches Top 25 Coaches poll. However, these nominations still did not place them in the ultimate top 25.

This is the first time since December of 2013 that Washburn has received nominations in the initial voting process, when they were ranked No. 22 out of 25.

However, the Ichabods were placed at No. 2 in the MIAA Preseason Coaches poll, which was released last week.

Men’s basketball began their season at 7:08 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 1 against the University of Kansas at Allen Fieldhouse.
