To close out the season, the Washburn Ichabods will travel to Excelsior Springs, Missouri to challenge the Bemidji State Beavers in the Mineral Water Bowl on Saturday, Dec 3 at 12 pm. The Ichabods will attempt to forget their last game, a 30-3 blowout at the hands of Emporia State, which ended their season with a 7-4 record. They will try to do this against the Bemidji State Beavers, who ended their season on the other end of the spectrum, dominating the Minnesota Crookston Eagles in a resounding 76-13 victory. The Beavers specialty this season was definitely their explosive offense, with their lowest point total coming in a 31-28 victory earlier in the season. This is a tough matchup, but the Ichabods may be able to exploit the Beaver’s defense with a potent offense of their own. However it goes, fans are in for an exciting game this weekend.
