JuliAnn Mazachek, president of Washburn University, welcomes everyone to the Yell Like Hell event. The event took place Oct. 31 from 7-8:30 p.m. in Lee Arena.

The Washburn cheer team performs an energetic cheer routine. It helped everyone get excited and pumped for the night.

George Burdick, president of Washburn Student Government Association, and Bella Wood, vice president of Washburn Student Government Association, host the Yell Like Hell event. They introduced each group that performed.

The Washburn Dancing Blues perform at the Yell Like Hell event. They showed off their dance skills and athletic abilities.

The Washburn Black Student Union entertains everyone with its choreography. Members incorporated many horror elements into the dance routine.

The Washburn volleyball team performs a “Scooby Doo” themed dance. Vampires, zombies and ghosts also danced with the Mystery Gang.

The Zeta Tau Alpha sorority performs with the Alpha Delta fraternity. Both groups showed the audience that they work well together.

The Washburn track team performs its dance routine. The team performed its own version of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller.”

The Delta Gamma sorority and Phi Delta Theta fraternity join together to perform a dance routine. The crowd was hyped up during their performance.

The Alpha Phi sorority and the Kappa Sigma fraternity perform an energetic dance routine. Their performance was inspired by the movie “The Purge.”

The Blue Diamonds show off their strength and flexibility during their dance performance. They are the majorette team at Washburn University.

WSGA closes out the dance performances with one of its own. The performance was also inspired by “Scooby Doo.”

Taylor Romanchek, senior mass media major, is the homecoming intern at Washburn University. She was also nominated for Ichabod of Honor.
