Friday, Jan. 19 will be the last day to change from audit to graded or A/Pass/Fail status and the last day to enroll in a course without instructor’s permission on MyWashburn.

The Class Divide Free Film Screening

The Brown v. Board of Education National Historic Site will be hosting a free showing of the film “The Class Divide” Friday, Jan. 19 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The Class Divide” is a documentary episode that is a part of the “America Divided” series. After the film, there will be a panel and community discussion. This event is free and open to the public.

Leadership Scholarship Application Deadline

The Washburn University Student Scholarship Applications for the Leadership Institute are due Friday, Jan. 19. Applications can be picked up in the Leadership Office in Benton Hall #408.

Free Pepsi Sampling

The Memorial Union will be having a free Pepsi sampling Monday, Jan. 22 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the lower level.

All Washburn students are free to come and try all the unique soda flavors offered.

National Pie Day

The Memorial Union will be celebrating National Pie Day on Tuesday, Jan. 23, from

11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the lower level.

Students are encouraged to come down and enjoy some free pie with their friends and classmates.

Crane Observatory Open Viewing

The science department is hosting an open viewing on Tuesday, Jan. 23 at 7 p.m. in the Crane Observatory.

Students are free to come see the Orion Nebula and the Moon through Washburn’s telescope.

 

Washburn Women’s Alliance Scholarship

 

WU and WU Tech students that are single with dependent children are eligible for applying for this scholarship opportunity at www.givetowashburn.org/wwa. If anyone feels they fit the requirements, they are encouraged to apply.
