GALLERY: Washburn fraternities and sororities compete in the ‘Battle of the Brains’

  • Fraternity and sorority teams Phi Delta Theta, Zeta Tau Alpha, Sigma Lambda Gamma, Alpha Phi, Sigma Phi Epsilon and Kappa Sigma are getting ready for the event Battle of Brains. The event was organized by fraternity and sorority teams March 28 at Washburn A/B.

  • Every fraternity and sorority is in attendance to show support for the event. Battle of Brains was a great opportunity for people to show off their general knowledge about pop culture and fraternity and sorority life history.

  • Team Zeta Tau Alpha posing for a photo as they get ready to compete with other teams for Battle of Brains. The team played with great enthusiasm throughout the event and were able to come second at the end.

  • Team Alpha Phi are answering the question, “What is the tallest breed of dog in the world?” at the Battle of brains event. The correct answer was the great dane.

  • Team Sigma Phi Epsilon is ready for the game to start. They won round one and seemed focused to compete for the next round versus Sigma Lambda Gamma.

  • Ana Estrada, senior in political science, with her team Sigma Lambda Gamma gets all set to compete. Unfortunately, they lost the first round.

  • Team Kappa Sigma is answering the question “How many bones are there in human ribs?” in the final round as 14. The correct answer was 24.

  • Team Zeta Tau Alpha celebrating after getting second place. Many members from the sorority were in attendance to show support in the event.

  • Team Kappa Sigma wins first place in the Battle of the Brains. They won the Battle of the Brains with 100 points.
