Washburn baseball wins second doubleheader game against Missouri Southern

Cal Watkins, junior in integrated studies, cheers with team. Washburn won the game with a score of 10-5.

Jack Brimacombe, senior in integrated studies, throws the first pitch of the second game in the doubleheader. He pitched a no score top of the first inning.

Cale Savage, sophomore in kinesiology, catches the ball on the outside of first base. This catch ended the top of the second inning.

Easton Bruce, sophomore in business, hits the ball. He doubled the hit to left field which allowed his teammate to advance to third base.

Trevor McCollum, sophomore in mass media, celebrates with the team. He scored the first run of the second game.

Bruce runs to home plate. This run helped Washburn score two points in the bottom of the second.

Cade Perry, freshman in business, sets himself to bat. After the pitcher didn’t strike him out, he walked to first base.

Griffin Hulatt, freshman in economics, starts to pitch in the top of the fourth inning. He struck out the opposing players after taking the pitcher’s mound.

Savage hits a homerun to left field in the bottom of the fifth inning. Washburn scored three points which left the score 5-5.
