Ichabods hope to improve marks at indoor track and field conference tournament
The goal at every indoor meet for the men and women who compete for Washburn University’s track and field team is to improve their marks and earn a NCAA Division II provisional mark or automatic qualifying mark to go to nationals.
Next up is the MIAA Indoor Track & Field Championships Feb. 27-28 at Washburn’s Indoor Athletic Facility. This meet will be the last chance for Washburn athletes to qualify for the indoor nationals. A limited number of provisional earners will end up with spots among the automatic qualifiers. Right now, the only automatic qualifier Washburn has on its team is pole vaulter Virgi Scardanzan.
Unfortunately, fans won’t be allowed to attend the meet in person. However, for the first time this year, fans can see the Bods run, throw and jump via a live stream at https://themiaanetwork.com. Via https://wusports.com/sports/2020/3/31/ichabod-track-and-field-home-meet-information.aspx you can find links to live results, the live stream, and the meet schedule.
The NCAA Division II 2021 Indoor National Championships will take place during a two-day meet, March 12-13, in Birmingham, Alabama.
