Different strokes for different folks at the Spirit, Mind and Body fair
February 28, 2013
The Spirit, Mind and Body fair is a great place for those who may be interested in anything holistic, spiritual or alternative. The fair is home to multiple booths that showcase Aura photos, jewelry and crystals, oils, healing touch and body work, incense, art, healthy foods, herbs and so much more. The fair is featured March 2-3 in the Agriculture Hall of the Kansas ExpoCenter here in Topeka.
Participants can have their tarot cards read, fortune told, discuss a past life or even engage is some spirit communication with the help of people of the community and visitors who have dedicated their lives to pursuing the metaphysical and paranormal.
For those not interested in the metaphysical part of the fair, there are various other options.
A vast array of teas, incense, crystals, jewelry and smudges are available for purchase and discussion. There are also several seminars and lectures available to help educate those about an alternative lifestyle that you can’t buy at the mall.
One of the exciting activities that you can engage in at the fair is to have your Aura photographed and explained to you.
“I always try to get my aura photo when I visit the fair,” said Paul Rockers, Lawrence resident. “I stick them on my wall at home and compare them to other visits.”
One aspect of the fair that may intrigue students, is the option to learn about healthy ways to deal with stress.
Tickets are for $6.00 at the door and coupons for $1.00 off available at local businesses. There will also be several free door prize drawings.
