Color Vibe runs into Topeka
May 29, 2013
The Color Vibe 5K run is being hosted at the Heartland Park in Topeka.
According to the Color Vibe’s website, “the event promises to be a lot of fun for everyone involved,” and will take place June 22. Participants will be blasted with multiple colors at different stations throughout the course. Those who sign up to run the 5K will receive an official Color Vibe t-shirt and a prize.
“I did it last year and I had a lot of fun,” said Melanie Beeghly, a registered runner for this year’s Color Vibe 5K.
Pricing is now at $43 and May 31 is the deadline for regular registration. Late registration will cost $46 and the last day to enter is June 21 or until it is sold out. The final day to register is the day of the race and will cost $50 if not sold out.
The Color Vibe will also partner with a local charity in the Topeka Community. However, the Color Vibe still hasn’t decided which charity to team up with. Local businesses can sponsor the event if they are interested. There is also the option of volunteering to throw color at the runners if running it isn’t something you’re interested in. All colors are completely safe and biodegradable.
“You can be healthy, but have fun,” said Beeghly.
The Color Vibe Race Series is taking place at several locations across the country and provides plenty of opportunities to participate. The next Color Vibe event will be Oct. 5 in Wichita, Kan.
